Reaching the highest point on the Jurassic coast gives some wonderful views, both out to sea as well as back into Dorset and Devon. This walk makes the most of the coastal paths while still ensuing we don’t walk the same bits too much.
Starting at Wildboreclough we head off up into the peak district to three shires head, a beautiful point where Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Cheshire all meet. This route was really easy to follow but very quiet.
Starting low down in Gradbach we work our way around the river Dove before turning up towards the Roaches and finally down into the beautiful Luds Church. A full Circle walk with some beautiful views and steady climbs.
This is one of our favourites, accessible and not too challenging while having multiple terrain types and some of the most beautiful views in the area. The Roaches and their wonderful rocky outcrops give way to forest areas and the beautiful and serine Luds church.
A fantastic route up two of the smaller fells in the Lake District that might not be big on height, but a huge on views. Arguably some of the best views can be had from these peaks making them well worth a look.
Our slightly different hike up to Blencathra while avoiding Sharp Edge making a great walking route of the beautiful mountain and some of the surrounding fells. Wonderful views all around and a really good walk avoiding a lot of the harsh terrain.
Our 8 wainwright hike around the Fairfield Horseshoe was a fantastic hike and also got us some great height and distance. it’s a great hike and never too hard going as long as you can do the distance. One for amazing views, but take care if it’s bad weather.
This low fell just above Ambleside has some of the best views in the area. Lakes and mountain ranges as far as the eye can see in every direction and if you add in a trip to Rydal Cave you are in for a treat.
