A quick hike up and along hadrians wall while we were in the area
This low fell just above Ambleside has some of the best views in the area. Lakes and mountain ranges as far as the eye can see in every direction and if you add in a trip to Rydal Cave you are in for a treat.
Binsey has some fantastic views of the northern fells and even for walkers not looking to “bag the wainwrights” it provides stunning views and is well worth the visit.

An alternative route around Macclesfield forest taking in Shuttingsloe before heading back down into the forest.

A beautiful round walk of Derwent Water, taking in Catbells along the way. This is one of the most beautiful routes in the Lake district and quite possibly our favorite lake walk.
The beautiful Haystacks, we went up on a dry day and came back down beaten by rain, snow and hail. Still great views and a fantastic walk however.

A low level walk around Delamere forest after the snow had started to melt away was just what we needed.
