After completing the golden Cap, and seeing Langdon hill half way around (as well as the Deer standing by the woods) we decided we still had enough energy for a second walk so decided to pop over and do a little loop around the woodland.
Due to the cost of parking (unless you are a National Trust Member) I wouldn’t advise walking around here unless you plan on taking some routes off from this as it’s not the longest walk.
Once parked we headed off around the wide-open track, the walk takes you through some beautiful woodland, that is quite high compared to the surrounding area so the views are great. It follows along a pretty flat route, and there are the odd paths off as you walk around.
The circular route does sometimes have Deer's wandering around, unfortunately we didn’t manage to see any! Once you head around to the long straight, you can see through to the sea a few times which is nice as the high view point gives you some really nice views out.
When you get to the next corner, it’s a short walk back to the car. This beautiful woodland has much more to offer than we have shown here, and this loop is likely intended for people who struggle to get out too much or just want a little walk as we did. The Routes off do mean you can turn this into a much bigger walk, and even reach the golden cap from here, something we do intend to do.
